History matters because it's basically how everything originated. Without history we would have no knowledge, and we wouldn't be where we are today. For example, we would have no idea what works and what doesn't in certain situations. Also, if we had no history, we wouldn't have learned from our mistakes and we would keep repeating the process. By knowing our history it helps us understand our behavior and perspective today. History formed the government and divided country's, which keeps everything in line with the rules, and divides all of us. Without knowing this, the world would be reckless because we had no past to learn and improve from. It allows us to remember the people that came before us, and the events that made the world what it is today. So you ask yourself, does history matter?
