      I think stereotypes are so widely known by so many in our society because thats how many people recognize them as. If they see a picture or something of one person, they will base what they think of all people just like them are. For example, you would think every white person during slave time, had slaves working for them. But it's not true, only a couple white people had slaves working for them, and the rest didn't. People stereotype the way we see that one person, either the color of their skin or ethnicity. Ask yourself, do you stereotype people for the same reasons?
