Music inspired by the Veitnam War

"Was has caused unrest within the younger generation."


I think this quote means several things. It could be how the younger boys who turn a certain age had to go to war. Many never came back from war which messed up the younger generation. Also, i think it could mean all of the children and even teenagers having to live through war and not feeling safe at all. War didn't create that feeling just to the children, but also everyone else. The song "war" paints a very vivd picture that it is an anti-war song because he's basically stating that we don't need to be at war risking peoples lives out there. Also, this is a good classic song. There's another quote, "Made him disabled bitter and mean." This means the men who came back from war were ALL messed up. Some were disabled, mean because the war made them that way. They went through a lot, and seen a lot, so you really think they would come back home from the war normal?
